The Association currently offers internships in resource mobilization, office assistantships, book keeping and marketing… APPLY FOR INTERNSHIPS

In the 2018, the association is planning for the following activities:

  • Conference and Annual General Meeting
  • Holding of chapter meetings
  • Issuance of new membership certificates to members
  • TV talk about the KGCPA in key media houses
  • Training workshops with the Red Cross and St. John’s Ambulance.
  • Recruitment of at least 30 members

The KGCPA Nakuru Chapter is planning for a training on Basic First Aid (for those that do not have any training in this area) and Occupational First Aid. The basic first aid training is a one day training that will cost Ksh. 4,000 inclusive of training fee, tae and lunch. The occupational first aid training will be a 4 day training from 8 – 5 PM and will cost Ksh. 8,000 inclusive of training fee, tea and lunch. The trainings will be conducted by the Kenya Red Cross.

KGCPA Progress

  • Peer-reviewed Journal

    The Association founded a peer-reviewed journal in 2011 which is internationally recognized and publishes high quality research papers in the disciplines of guidance, counseling and psychology annually. Papers for the 8th volume of the journal are currently under review.

  • Current at 291 Registered Members

    Since its inception in 2010, the association has since held four successful national conferences. It has also managed to register qualified members from all the regions of Kenya who have been issued with membership certificates on payment of requisite fees. The membership is currently at 291.

  • Chapters of the association

    In order to improve on efficiency and taking of services close to the members, the Executive in its executive meeting of December 2017 formed Nairobi, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Kakamega, Meru and Coast .
